On May 10th, Campbell Soup Company and The United States Postal Service are partnering once again with the National Association of Letter Carriers to sponsor Stamp Out Hunger, the “nation’s largest single-day food drive”. In 2007, over 70 million pounds of food were delivered. Help spread the word! Encourage your community to place bags filled with non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes. Their letter carriers will pick them up and deliver them to local food banks.

This year’s Groovefest American Music Festival is scheduled for June 26-29. The 7th Annual festival will be held again in Cedar City’s beautiful Main Street Park and in various other venues. Just some of Groovefest’s acts this year will include Chicago Afrobeat Project (Chicago, IL), Wayne “The Train” Hancock (Austin, TX), Dikki Du & The Zydeco Krewe (Lawtell, LA), Todd Wolfe (Easton, PA) - formerly of The Sheryl Crow Band, and The Stolen Sweets (Portland, OR), just to name a few. Once again there will be a total of fourteen original musical acts from all across the country as well as the Groovefest music workshops and a few new surprises.
